In 2009 a bunch of young people led by Gwyn Roberts left to UK to drive all the way to Cape Town South Africa.
The vehicle of choice was a 21 year old Toyota Landcruiser - with an up to date Solar conversion to help save fuel. It was probably the first vehicle to use Solar PV in this way - which has now been used by everyday manufactures.
One of the aims of the trip was to show the power of this Solar technology and how it can help some of the economically poorest people in the world and supporting the charity SolarAid.
A year later, 27,000 miles and many new friends later the trip is complete - but the journey will never end.
